30 notes:
Oh goodness, waiting for the engagement ring is becoming torture! I long to look through blogs and think about how it would look in my own wedding... sigh.... :)
oh jenni, i feel for you, but remember that when it happens, it will feel like the perfect time. and in the meantime, it can't hurt to look at stuff can it? :)
I adore the robins egg blue shoes! sigh! I don't have too much info on weddings for you since mine was in the 80's! LOL! Now that would be a fun wedding, wouldn't you say!
Nina, congrats on your engagement! I just stumbled across your site via City Girl Lifestyle... My husband and I tied the knot in July. Not only do Ball jars make beautiful candle holders, but they also are wonderful to use as flower vases. I started looking for blue ball jars right after we got engaged and I bought bunch at an estate auction one weekend. On our wedding day I filled them with blue and white hydrangeas and used them on the dinner tables. They looked great the day of the wedding and have come in handy for all kinds of odds and ends after the wedding. In addition to holding fresh cut flowers they work great to store the rest of the bag of rice or to corral the spare change found that floats around the laundry room. Not to mention every time I see one sitting around the house, it makes me smile since it reminds me of our wedding day.
Best of luck with your wedding planning!

After seeing soooo many beautiful wedding items on Etsy and blogs, it makes me wish I could have a wedding redo! Maybe I can talk my husband into renewing our vows...
Good luck, and have fun!
Hi Nina! As a recently engaged gal myself, I love seeing your wedding inspiration! I actually found the same photo of the vintage tea tins, and am planning to borrow a friend's tea tin collection to re-create the look at my reception. I plan to use mis-matched wild flowers, with an emphasis on green, pink, and purple. Keep the wedding talk coming! :-)
P.S. My fave wedding blogs are Weddingbee and 100 Layer Cakes. Also, check out Style Circle, which lets you create an inspiration board from thousands of images. I posted mine on my blog here: http://lovetulipsandtea.blogspot.com/2009/08/wedding-inspiration.html
I think those would all add to a beautiful wedding! I vote for blue shoes, they can be your "something blue!"
The pictures make me long for my wedding. Congrats on the engagement.
wow do i love all of those!!! now if only i can get married..!!
Congrats! I think you will like Green Wedding Shoes http://greenweddingshoes.blogspot.com/ based on all the elements you described above. I bet it will be a gorgeous wedding! :)
we did non-matching bridesmaid dresses and it looked amazing--they still looked like they belonged together but there was so much more personality!
What beautiful wedding inspiration. I particularly love the yellow shoes, mason jar candles, and lace dresses. :)
Have such a wonderful time planning your wedding. Cherish each and every moment, and don't waste any time stressing.
Lovely wedding inspiration! I'm getting married next summer on a lake and our colors are navy and turquuoise, so we've chosen to use the blue ball mason jars at our wedding as centerpieces. We're putting sand in the bottom and then a candle inside. We tested it out a few times this summer and they look fantastic. You have some great ideas, and knowing your creativity they will all look fabulous.

i adore the mason jars idea. I think everything is better in mason jars- cotton balls, buttons, drinks.

Nina-
You have to check out Nicole's blog - lillyella -a jewelry designer on etsy. She's getting married this weekend and has been allowing us to see her get ready for her big day. She has similiar tastes as you. Search "wedding" when you go to her blog at: http://lillyella.blogspot.com
Although I did notice that her post on which dress she chose didn't come up with that search, but it's at: http://lillyella.blogspot.com/2009/01/i-said-yes-to-dress.html
I'm getting ready to go on my third annual honeymoon and I still get all excited when I think about my wedding that I had exactly the way WE wanted to have it.
Have fun planning and enjoy each other!!
Congrats!
