good morning!
how has your morning been so far? long commute? traffic? lots of emails? a smile from a stranger on the street?
well, however it's been going, i suggest you grab a cup of tea or coffee and get comfortable. let's hang out. :)
so, i think somewhere between being on vacation, and waking up to the smell of summer rain, (it's pouring cats and dogs in boston and i am loving it...) i've been day dreaming about this idea of a perfect day.
have you ever thought about having a perfect day? how would it start? what would you eat? where would you be? who would be with you? i think what we should do is come up with some thoughts and then commit to creating the day... making it happen... living now. are you in?
i'm going to post mine on friday, but first i want to hear yours. would you start your day with blueberry whole wheat pancakes? would your best friend arrive on your doorstep with a bouquet of tulips? dream away and then share with the rest of us!

oh what a delicious delicious idea! How do you think these up, nina?
My perfect day:
Wake up mid morning from the most restful sleep ever. Eat an all american breakfast. Omelettes, bacon, sausages, etc. Pack up and go reading in the park. Load up on fruit juices. Grab a sandwhich for lunch. Meet the girls for tea (and gossip of course!).Slot in a massage session. Pick our a crazy outfit and head to a party. Come home, head ot bed and have another night of restful sleep.
ps: my perfect day is subject to change hourly. Really. I am just fickle. BUt all the more ideas to live out, right?
this is wonderful, so let me see:
- it would be in the summer
- I would wake up naturally
- eat a wonderful breakfast somewhere at a parisian café
- have my best friend come on a visit from Switzerland
- to have lunch with her at Ladurée
- hang with her in the streets and visit a lot of art galleries
- have a macaron and tea snack ;-)
- to join my husband for a quick lunch at a organic restaurant
- we would end this perfect day by going to the Opera-Garnier to see a ballet (an old dream of mine)
This could be a perfect day indeed !
oh la la i love these! i may have to change my plans ;)
It's Winter and snowing, my boyfriend wakes me up to breakfast in bed. We go skiing, shopping and have a picnic in the snow (only done that once and it was ace). Then we go to a musem, meet up with friends, have a meal, catch a show. Sit in front of the fire, under a blanket and chill.
Awsomeness!

Ah, so much fun! Here:
It's a sunny day, and I wake up feeling rested. It's a bit later than usual, but not too late that I feel I've wasted my morning. My boyfriend prepares breakfast (with huge fruit juice and pot of coffee included) and we have it together while reading the newspaper. The rest of the day involves sitting outside in a nice coffee shop writing in my journal, walking around Oxford taking lots of photos, meeting my best friends for a very girly English afternoon tea, dinner in a small cute french resturant with boyfriend, drinks in my favourite cocktail bar and some dancing and lots of laughs!
Everyone elses days are sooooo cool too.
Great idea Nina!!! Got the cogs turning lol.

wake up to a sweet breeze coming through my window.
lay in bed and gossip and giggle with my roommates for a while about our previous nights and adventures.
drive with the windows down and loud music to the beach for some shopping and lunch.
head back to town for bbqs with good friends and new people that continue long after the sun goes down.
dancing on a balcony or porch to good old music and drinking summer ale.
collapse into bed and dream dream dreammm.
would i rather be in spain or italy? south america or africa? after much thought, i decided my perfect day would include me being right where i am: jackson hole, wyoming.
here goes!
i would sleep in just a bit...say, 9ish. i'd ride my bike to the yoga studio for a morning ashtanga class. then, i would cruise over to the jackson whole grocer for a guava goddess smoothie. after slurping the last drop, i would head home to a seat outside with my book & journal. after some writing and reading, i would hike up josie's ridge and take lots of pictures. with my camera in tow, i would walk around town and snap away only later to upload them all on my blog. after this, i would take a good, long shower...this includes a leg shave! then i would meet up with my girls at trio for a delicious dinner with red wine. we would head over to the wort hotel to listen and dance to bluegrass music. my boyfriend would meet up with us and all would be well :)
Hi Nina! I wanted to let you know that your post inspired me to blog about my own perfect day. I didn't want to post it here because I ended up writing quite a bit and didn't want to completely monopolize your comments section(!), but anyway, if you'd like to read it, you can find it at www.lovetulipsandtea.blogspot.com
