big benefits in small packages

how were your weekends, my lovelies? 

on saturday, simon and i went to brunch, got some delicious sushi for diner, and saw the movie "i love you, man." good stuff.

then, on sunday evening after doing some laundry, organizing and vegging, we had a push-up contest! of course, i did them on my knees, and he did real ones, but we each totaled thirty three. remember i told you silly = good? 

anyway, today i want to share my top five favorite things that are $20 or less.  i own and adore all of these things and i figured you might benefit from them too. 

and you can splurge on these items guilt-free because they are affordable and useful. sounds fun, right?

here we go:

1. a camelbak water bottle.  it's easy to use, durable and cute. (mine is pink.) i fill mine every morning and make sure that i've finished it by the afternoon. and it never leaks. ever.

2. this key chain. it comes in two parts, and is great for couples or families that share one car and one set of keys, or for putting on or removing that extra set of keys that goes to your storage unit or mountain cottage. they sell them at hardware stores and the container store. simon and i couldn't live without ours.

3. these cozy slippers from target. they were absolutely wonderful for my cold feet during the boston winter. and i bet they are on sale now that it's spring. i loved them so much, i even got into the habit of bringing them with me when i went to a friend's house.

4. a tongue scraper.  you're probably thinking: "ew, gross, a tongue scraper?" or you're nodding your head in agreement because you have one too.  basically, a tongue scraper is a small tool you use to keep your mouth germ-free and minty fresh. my tongue scraper looks like this and i think i bought it at whole foods. it's amazing!

5. last but not least, this yummy hand cream from l'occitane. i tell ya, this lotion has made my hands feel like new. it really works, isn't greasy, and smells like heaven. if you ever visit a l'occitane store, they always have testers and samples too, so give it a try.
